Hazards Out | Workshop 1

On 11 February from 2pm to 3.30pm, FEAD, in partnership with ACR+ and Hazardous Waste Europe, are organising a workshop on Hazards Out!

Household hazardous waste (HHW) accounts only for a small fraction of the municipal waste but it can have a significant impact on the environment and human health if mismanaged. To prevent such risks, starting from 1 January 2025 the separate collection of HHW is mandatory in the EU.

How is this separate collection implemented?

Is your municipality prepared for the new sorting obligations?

FEAD, in partnership with ACR+ and Hazardous Waste Europe, have joined forced in the Hazards Out project to support the local authorities, industry and other stakeholders with the implementation of the mandatory separate collection of HHW. The Hazards Out team is organising a series of workshops to exchange best practices and boost collaborations on the HHW management.

If you wish to learn more about the different perspectives and the challenges of separate collection of HHW,  join our esteemed speakers in our first Workshop – What is going to change?
