FEAD welcomes Danish association ARI as its 20th full Member
Brussels, 18 December – FEAD, the European Waste Management Association, is delighted to announce that ARI, a Danish organization representing 13 private waste management companies, has officially joined our association. With the addition of ARI, FEAD now proudly represents 20 national waste management federations, reinforcing our position as a key voice for the sector across Europe.
ARI shares FEAD’s commitment to fostering a strong and sustainable waste management sector. The association’s vision centres on a circular and market-based transformation of the waste sector, aiming for all waste to be recycled within a single cycle. ARI’s ambition is to elevate recycled resources to the same high value as virgin resources, a goal that perfectly aligns with FEAD’s mission of promoting the circular economy and driving innovation in waste management practices.
FEAD President Claudia Mensi expressed her enthusiasm about this new membership, stating: ‘We are thrilled to welcome ARI to the FEAD family. Together, we will continue to advocate for policies that promote the use of recycled materials, fair competition, and a thriving circular economy in Europe. I look forward to the valuable contributions ARI will bring to our shared mission’.
Niels Bukholt, Head of Secretariat, ARI, says: ‘The EU plays a central role in shaping the recycling market. At ARI, we recognize the need to strengthen our efforts at the European level to advance recycling. Our membership in FEAD is a key platform for driving this progress’.
The inclusion of ARI underscores the growing recognition among national platforms of the added value and importance of engaging in discussions at European level. As FEAD continues to lead the way in shaping the future of waste management, we are excited to collaborate with ARI and other members to build a circular and sustainable Europe.
