EERA and FEAD call for “clear and efficient rules” for shipments of e-waste

EUWID – 14 November 2022 – EERA and FEAD, the European umbrella organisations of waste recyclers and the private waste management industry, call on the EU Commission to advocate clear and efficient regulations in the OECD negotiations. Due to the expected increase in the number of notifications from 2025 onwards, they believe that a modernisation of the procedure is urgently needed. In a position paper, they demand, among other things, to ensure that all competent authorities worldwide proceed uniformly through clear guidelines and specific training.
